Bruce M. Badger is a partner at Badger Law, PLLC, as successor firm to Badger Law Office which he founded in 2001. Bruce practices in the area of residential and commercial real estate law and represents mortgage companies, banks, lenders and businesses.
Bruce received a Bachelor of Science degree from Houston Baptist University in 1978. In 1981, he received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Houston College of Law. Bruce was admitted to practice law in the State of Texas in 1981. Bruce is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for Southern, Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas and in the 5th and 11th Circuits of the United States Courts of Appeal.
Bruce served as an associate and partner at Shanks, Tritter& Ledbetter in Houston, Texas where he focused his practice on mortgage lending. In 1991, Bruce founded Badger & Garner inSugar Land, Texas which was succeeded by Badger Law Office in 2001 and Badger Law, PLLC in 2018.
Bruce is currently an affiliate member of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Associations, Houston Mortgage Bankers Association, Texas Bankers Association, Southwest Association of Bank Counsel, Harris County Bar Association and Wharton County Bar Association.
Bruce has been a frequent speaker related to the representation of secured lenders/mortgage lenders in the areas of Federal and State regulations and practices and single-family mortgage lending, foreclosure, eviction, bankruptcy, lender liability litigation and title issues.
Bruce has practiced law for over forty years and for the last thirty-five years has dedicated his practice to representing banks, mortgage companies, financial institutions, and other secured lenders in preparation of loan documents, default services and compliance services in Texas.
